I attended a reading at the University of Washington’s bookstore featuring a few of the authors that contributed to the new collection of short stories Stories for Chip: A Tribute to Samuel R. Delany. Nisi Shawl, Eileen Gunn, Geetanjali Dighe, Claude Lalumiere, and L. Timmel DuChamp read bits from their pieces in the book. It was a nice, compact evening, and I got all of the readers to sign my book. I finally got to introduce myself to Nisi Shawl, whom I have taught and tweeted with in the past.
