Good news! I have been offered appointment as an Acting Instructor (AI) for the Department of English for Winter and Spring quarters this academic year. The position is contingent on me finishing my dissertation and defending this coming fall quarter. I guess I have to finish my PhD now! It is excellent news and good to know that I have a job for the full school year while I am on the market looking for a permanent, tenure-track job.
